Macguire Boyd Macguire Boyd 5'10" | 180 lbs | LB Kirtland | 2024 State OH is an old-school physical linebacker that loves to bring the contact and deliver big hits. Boyd recognizes run plays with maturity beyond his years. His ability to read blocks in and process where a play is headed gives him an edge to attack running backs and bring them down in their tracks. Boyd’s long arms give him the ability to wrap up ball carriers and doesn’t let them go. Boyd shows no hesitation when coming up to make a play which often leads to short gains for the offense. While his best attribute is his initial burst, Boyd has the speed to play over the middle of the field in coverage. Always finding a way to get on the field, Boyd plays a traditional fullback role of being a blocker and knocking opponents to the ground. A student in the gym, Boyd is adding strength this offseason to bulk up for his final season where he looks to continue to impress for a chance to play on Saturdays.
