Lucas Kaltenbach Lucas Kaltenbach 6'4" | 215 lbs | QB Kenston | 2025 State OH is athletic as they come at the quarterback position. His natural abilities make him a player that gets the most out of his receivers and makes everyone around him better. Kaltenbach has an arm most quarterbacks work years for thanks to his time as a pitcher developing a 92 mph fastball. Making the long throws look easy, Kaltenbach places the ball where it needs to be for his receivers to run after the catch. Letting his arm do the work, he challenges defensive backs regularly. On short routes, Kaltenbach leads his man to again put an emphasis on yards after the catch. Kaltenbach has good footwork in the pocket and on rollouts, but when he needs to scramble to make a play, he is quick to get his feet set and get a ball off to his receiver with velocity. In 2023, Kaltenbach will be in a new offense with a new set of receivers, but nevertheless, I believe his skillset will take little time to adjust to be a bag name in his junior season.

This season, Lucas passed for 1,600 yards and 12 TD and his good play was a bright spot in the 0-10 season of the Benedictine Bengals. He plays with very good poise as he delivers an accurate ball with a defender in his face. He possesses very good arm strength as he passes the ball 50+ yards with ease. He shows solid mobility as he rolls out, keeps his eyes downfield and makes the throw while on the move. He displays good play speed and athletic ability as he can pick up a first down on his own when needed.
