Lonnie has perfect ball placement and a beautiful spiral. Lonnie can make any throw from on the run to being under duress, He led Oscar Smith to a consecutive Class 6 state titles. remains the number 1 quarterback in this 2027 class, the Virginia bound product is too good. Andrews has lead Oscar Smith to consecutive Class 6 state titles and the Tigers will be heavy favorites to win a third next year. He is dynamic throwing for 31 touchdown passes as a junior not including the work he accomplished in the playoffs. Watching him against Madison he remained calmed under duress even as the Warhawks began their comeback. He committed to UVA back during the season and will most likely have their long time rival Virginia Tech still pursuing him regardless.

committed to the University of Virginia on Saturday, this is a major get for Coach Elliot’s squad. He has been one of the top quarterbacks in the nation for the past two years and for the Cavaliers to keep him in his home state, speaks wonders about the turnaround they are having. Andrews had offers from a number of Power 4 schools, but the Cavaliers beat everyone out.

Andrews completed 172 of 289 passes for 2,740 yards, 29 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He also rushed for 450 yards and three touchdowns. Boston College, Syracuse, ODU, South Florida, Virginia, and Virginia Tech are among his early offers. Expect him to rise in the rankings should his junior-year season go the way he wants it to.

Lonnie is highly ranked among national sites at the QB position, and it is easy to tell why on his film. An effective passer and athlete, Lonnie wins with his arm, and his legs are a bonus to his game that make him the best QB in Virginia’s class of 2027 in my opinion. He can make all the throws with good arm strength and zip, with very good accuracy. Calm and poised in the pocket, he can easily maneuver the rush while remaining balanced and keeping his eyes downfield and complete an accurate throw. He has the athleticism to roll out of the pocket and throw on the run, and if needed, tuck the ball and run and gain positive yards with his legs. Currently holds a number of D1 offers, and more will come.

The top ranked quarterback in this class, Andrews is coming off leading Oscar Smith to a thrilling Class 6 state title. He is the real deal under center and Tigers fans already are well aware. An excellent dual threat passer, Andrews was nearly flawless as a sophomore. He has four division 1 offers and could have more than double digits in them before the next fall.
