for a while now and believe he has a high ceiling as a prospect. You obviously can’t teach 6’4 300, and Hurley is a large presence on the Miners’ line. He plays left tackle for them and could likely slide inside to guard at the next level where he can excel at. Hurley is a mauling run blocker with a strong punch and hands and a true people mover. He’s still raw in some areas and it’ll be interesting to see how much he’s improved since his junior year, but Hurley is a very moldable athlete who is a definite future college starter if he wants to be.
He’s a prospect who every D2 program in the state should be after and an athlete who will likely earn some accolades this season.

is a raw player in the 2025 class but has a lot of upside and tools that make him an intriguing prospect. The 6’4 300 big man was a PRZ WV Honorable Mention All-State selection this season and should use his momentum from his junior season to take the next step in his development in 2024. Hurley plays left tackle for the Miners but I think he translates best as a guard at the next level. When you watch his film you see flashes of what he could potentially become in the future and has a high ceiling as a prospect. You obviously can’t teach size which Hurley has plenty of and that alone will get him some college looks. While he didn’t show elite athleticism on film at this point of his career, moving to guard in college may showcase his abilities better and allow him to feel more comfortable. Hurley can be dominant at times in the running game and when he plays with good technique he can really move people around. If he puts the work in the off-season working on his fundamentals and technique it should pay off in a big way for his senior season and reflect in our rankings and college interest.

A new name on our radar this season is Mingo Central junior offensive lineman Logan Hurley who comes to Mingo Central by way of Phelps (KY) for his final two years of high school. The 6’3 300 junior is a big boy and has had his way with some defenders this season. Hurley primarily holds down the left tackle position for the Miners but is likely a guard at the next level. He’s still a raw prospect but Hurley has all of the physical tools that you’re looking for in a high school offensive lineman and there is a lot there to work with and mold. Hurley is a very strong athlete and with his size, he pushes defenders around like it’s nothing. He’ll need to continue working on his footwork and hand placement but the future is bright for Hurley.
