LJ could be utilized in several different ways at the next level. He has a strong argument to be the top uncommitted dual threat QB in the state. On the ground, Dagen is a smooth athlete with the top end speed to be able to create monster runs when given a seam to green grass. His lateral movement and acceleration make him very hard to corral, even in tight quarters. As a passer, LJ wins with accuracy and touch to all the levels of the field. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Dagen even be looked at at other positions outside of QB because of his excellent athletic abilities. Take a look at the tape of one of the more under the radar prospects. He holds an offer from Carthage.

The 6’1” 170 lbs QB is an athlete that should excite the next level for many reasons. LJ is a raw QB prospect, but the tools are there to be finely tuned and molded. He is super light on his feet, allowing him to get through his drop quick, maneuver in the pocket and move from read to read. The arm strength is next level too. The ball jumps out of his hand when he attacks the deep portion of the field. Dagen also has impressive highlights showing off his pinpoint ball placement and touch. LJ could also be used in other roles at the next level. That is why I have him as an ATH. When LJ decides to tuck the ball and run you see that he has special, next level speed and acceleration. He can pull away in the open field, and has the vision needed to get himself through the trash and into the open field. I’m excited to see what he does this summer at camps, and then this fall on the field.

LJ made his debut in the rankings at QB5. He is one of the top overall dual threat signal callers of the group, and that is where the strength of his game lies. The 6’2″ 170 lbs QB shows consistent burst and acceleration when he decides to tuck it and run or when the play call is for him to do so. He finds seams quickly, and has the pull away speed to break off big plays in the open field. As a passer, LJ can get the ball to most spots on the field, but relies on his accuracy over strength. I’m excited to see how he has developed this offseason, and how he leads his offense this fall as Indian Trail HS looks to improve on their 2021 record.
