McInally has used the offseason to make noticeable strides in both his physical development and technical refinement. Time spent in the weight room has helped him add strength, while his work on the field has sharpened the fundamentals. His footwork appears much cleaner, allowing him to move with greater confidence and control. On film and during drill work, it is evident that he has expanded his pass rush arsenal, adding new moves that should help him become more effective attacking the edge. His development is not limited to the defensive side of the ball. McInally has also shown encouraging progress during offensive line drills, demonstrating the ability to drive defenders off the ball while maintaining balance throughout the rep. That combination of strength, technique and versatility makes him an intriguing prospect. If the improvements from the offseason continue to translate onto the field this fall, McInally could emerge as a player garnering more attention by season’s end.
