I loved getting to watch Liam in person. He has an impressive frame that is big, strong, and really well filled out. That size has allowed him to punish ball carriers when he hits them. The momentum that his 215 lbs frame generates drives the opposition backwards. Despite his size Liam plays with range and agility. The agility helped him be a force against the inside run game. The range flashed as he chased down the ball out on the perimeter. Especially when helping contain the athletic SPASH QB. Liam is upholding the tradition that Hudson has of producing dominant front seven defenders.

Another massive steal at the LB position is Liam Mayer Liam Mayer 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB/EDGE Hudson | 2026 State WI . He has now grown to 6’1″ 225 lbs, adding even more power to his frame. Liam dominates from his ILB position. His downhill burst and power leads to hard hits on ball carriers and that power also helps him quickly shed the block attempts of OLs. Liam’s lower body strength also provides him with an explosive burst that has made him a very effective blitzed. The junior dominates tackle to tackle, flowing with the play and mirroring backs until he meets them in the hole. I can’t wait to see him get some official numbers at camps to round out the array of talent that he brings to the table.

Once again we are writing an article about this Class and once again another stud ILB has made the list. Liam thrives against the run game. Especially the inside run game where he can read and trigger and then use his power to fight through the trenches to get to the ball carrier.
