QB1 for Hudson also did really well stepping up for the offense and leading this team. His arm flashed the talent for the next level as he was able to push the ball downfield for big plays on the few times he had to go to the air. It was Cooper’s athleticism that was more of a difference maker this week though. He plays with plenty of speed to get the edge on the defense, as he did on his rushing TD. The senior also did a great job of being poised and making smart reads on option designed plays. I loved the way Cooper didn’t force things either. He would buy time and give his guys chances to get open but would take off instead of trying to get the ball into tough spots. Hudson is a talented team, and having a kid like Cooper at the helm of the offense will help them go far.

The summer should be a great stage for the Hudson ’26 QB. The 6’3″ 180 lbs signal caller has no hesitation when it comes to his willingness to push the ball downfield. Cooper has enough arm to hit the deeper third, even when throwing off that back foot. The deeper downfield the more he relies on touch, and on the short-intermediate levels he can win with his timing, touch, and also drive the ball into spots. Cooper also is going to entice staffs with the athleticism that comes along with his arm talent and frame. I’m going to be very interested in seeing how he tests athletically because it gave defenses problems at times on defense.

What a performance from the junior QB as he led Hudson to a massive win over Rice Lake to end the regular season. Cooper was surgical and aggressive all night long. He pushed the ball downfield with effective arm strength and was able to dart it into tight windows in the short passing game. The junior signal caller also showed off pinpoint accuracy from the pocket and while on the run. Adair did a great job of going from read to read to find the open man and trusted his legs to get him the time he needed to find the eventual open man. Cooper is hitting his stride at the perfect time of the year. Check out the super efficient and productive night.
