It has undoubtedly been a tremendous offseason for Hudson’sJackHatfield. A fearless Energizer Bunny of a pass-rusher out of MN/WI bordertown Hudson, Hatfield is a familiar name to those who like to follow our LineofScrimmage event recaps, things all came together for Hatfield at Sunday’s PJ Fleck RTB Prospect Camp. Against a loaded group of rising D1 offensive linemen, Hatfield stepped up, believed in his work and skillset, and made the most of the opportunity, beating, and sometimes even embarrassing, future D1 OTs with ease. Extremely twitchy, great get-off, and bendy, with an exceptional jab step and outstanding timing and fakes, Hatfield was a nuisance, borderline nightmare for OTs through the day. Talk about juice! Line this kid up anywhere, against anyone, and it seems like Hatfield is finding pay dirt. Hatfield earned a St. Thomas offer after the camp thanks to his performance!
The Camp MVP of the Line of Scrimmage Big Dogs Camp was a no-brainer, as Hudson (WI) EDGE Jack Hatfield was a problem for just about every offensive linemen in Eagan most of the afternoon. We have mentioned liking the agility out of a bunch of prospects on Saturday but man, nobody could touch the twitch that Jack had on every rep on Saturday as he burned around blockers like they were on ice skates before the storm even hit last weekend. The other impressive skillset that Jack brought to the table was just how balanced he was with his footwork on every rep, as I maybe all day saw him lose one rep and the staff at LOS was trying very hard to get him to lose one from muliple spots in the defensive trenches but Jack could not be denied. You can tell the football IQ this young man has goes well above his measurables and surely is one that you go outside your measurables threshold for. I’ve learned for the last five years, that the Hudson Raiders know how to churn out college-level defensive linemen.
