Expert Analysis
Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
High-caliber athlete with excellent versatility to make an impact on both sides of the ball at WR and OLB. At 6’0” 185 lbs. he’s a natural football player that flashes excellent ball skills at WR and sharp instincts at LB. He’s a confident receiver that attacks the ball in the air with strong hands. He’s got good ball judgement skills and the adjustment ability, body control, and spatial awareness to gain positioning and make contested plays in traffic. Defensively, he’s a high motor quick reaction OLB. He’s able to process his reads and anticipate ball location to trigger and close space. Aggressive tackler with the lateral mobility and speed to pursue the ball sideline to sideline. Effective as both a zone dropper and in man coverage with the ability to stay in phase and clog up throwing lanes. His ability to contribute in multiple phases, paired with his physical tools and competitive edge make him one of the more under recruited players in the 2026 class.

Walker is the definition of a do-it-all guy. His frame sits right between a linebacker and a safety, and his play reflects that in the best way possible. He’s the kind of player coaches can move around and trust to get the job done, whether it’s playing in the box, dropping into coverage, or even flipping over to the other side of the ball and running routes. On defense, he’s physical enough to fight through blocks and hold up against the run, but what makes him unique is how natural he looks in coverage. Whether it’s man or zone, he rarely looks out of place. He’s smart, reads things well, and doesn’t hesitate to attack the ball. You can tell he’s locked in and knows where he’s supposed to be. That kind of awareness is rare, especially for someone with that kind of size and physicality. Then there’s the offensive side — when he lines up at receiver, you see that same field awareness show up. He’s reading the QB, finding open space, and creating opportunities. And when the ball’s in his hands, he’s a tough tackle. He’s got the speed to pull away and the strength to finish through contact. Walker’s a true utility weapon. Guys who can help you in that many ways, on both sides of the ball, don’t come around often.

Walker is a dynamic two-way playmaker that stood out at both WR and OLB as a junior. 6’0” 185 lbs. he brings a good combination of size, versatility, and instincts to both sides of the ball. Plus ball skills, he shows good timing and is confident with his hands at the catch. He attacks the ball in the air and shows good tracking skills to get in position to make a play. On defense, he’s a competitor with a strong football IQ showing the ability to quickly diagnose plays and be equally effective in run support and in coverage. Demonstrates good lateral quickness and is an aggressive tackler to consistently track down ball carriers and make impactful plays as a run stopper. In coverage, he can drop to a zone or play man to matchup against the slot. Finished the 2024 season with 77 total tackles including 47 solo and four interceptions, returned three of them for touchdowns.

may be listed as an ATH, but he’s an incredibly natural linebacker with nice instincts in the run game. His athleticism allows him to cover the pass well being both fast enough to stick with slot receivers and strong enough to rough up tight ends. His long arms give him the reach to make plays on passes when he’s seemingly out of the play and with his speed, he can still come up and help in the run game even when his primary responsibility is the pass. I broke down his play against the run in depth the last time I watched Walker’s tape, saying:
Against the run is where you see Walker’s motor truly shine. Never giving up on a play, he has no problem going across the field and catching running backs from behind. Even with a lighter frame, he’s still able to play physical at the line of scrimmage and has no trouble bringing both shifty and powerful players down in the open field.
Another thing that has really stuck out to me about Walker is his attitude, particularly on social media. Both he and fellow Buena linebacker,

, do a great job of promoting themselves in a humble way, while still making it clear that they have more to learn. That Buena staff is doing it right down in Sierra Vista.
