is still a big and raw prospect, but he has the size and strength college coaches want in a lineman either on offense or defense. Cox could develop a quicker first step, but once he gets rolling he is a tough and physical blocker in the run game. In pass pro he can neutralize rushers and keep defenders between his feet. One-on-ones on Saturday will be a trench war, and we’re expecting him to really shine.

is a starting left tackle for Perry Meridian. Although he is more of a waistbender he has great leg drive, runs his feet on contact and does a great job of creating vertical push. Effective second-level blocker who flashes a mean streak and is a good finisher. Can engage rushers effectively in pass pro, keep them between his feet and plays with a good base. Three-sport athlete (wrestling, track and field). If he develops better technique, watch out.

Cox seems like a quiet kid who shows up, puts the work in, doesn’t say much, and lets the results speak for themselves. He was fairly attentive and asking questions, which I like to see. I like to see the guys who are actively seeking improvement, and that was Cox. He’s got incredible core strength and really thrives in the running game. He gets off the ball fairly quickly for his size, too. He didn’t leave as MVP, but he absolutely got better and put himself in a good position heading into the spring.

Cox is a good-looking tackle who is quickly shoring up a line that’s needed some help. He’s got a powerful core and hands. He’ll lock onto his defender and remove them from the play. He’s got a wrestling background that really shines through. His core strength and body control are fantastic. He’s violent in the running game and capable, but still developing in the pass protection game. However, he’s young, having success, and not getting beaten.
