About Kwamen

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Being Physical. I take a lot of pride in setting up blocks for my team to run the ball on the perimeter. I also have a mentality on defense where no one can get in my way. Whenever I’m ready to go in for the tackle, I intend to hurt the ball carrier.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I do have a calm personality and not really talkative. However, when I step in between those white lines, I trash talk anyone who is lining up in front of me. It’s a switch that I turn on and off the field.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve learned throughout my 4 years of high school is that I take initiative. If there is something that I want to change, I’m not scared to speak up about it. Knowing how to advocate for yourself is essential in being a leader, helping your team, and any other event outside of sports.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I broke my thumb during practice which had led to me not playing the last game of the season. It was devastating because I felt like I was going to be a key part in the team’s success. However, that just pushed me harder to come back stronger.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where the major I have chosen is going to set me up for a career that I am going to have for the rest of my life. I also want to play football for college as well. I want a place that I can really call home without wanting to go back where I came from or deciding to transfer to another institution.
