man, if we want to talk about flying under the radar we can talk about that but I genuinely don’t know what schools are missing, this is a P4 athlete with no offers yet and it blows me away. Jones is a pure athlete, playing boundary WR, free safety, boundary corner, and slot corner. Starting at WR he’s a matchup nightmare at 6’3” who has some YAC ability and shiftiness. At free safety he runs down hill and identifies runs and passes and is always trying to make a play on the ball. At boundary corner he’s physical, always strapping down opposing WRs. When he’s in the slot he’s physical he plays like he wants to hurt offensive players. His range and athleticism is one thing, his size is another, his tape is awesome, and frankly when you put it all together this is a kid who should be holding offers of the highest level.

is a long rangy athlete who plays as a wide receiver and as a defensive back. Jones shows excellent skills as a wide receiver. He has good size, standing 6’3 inches tall, and knows how to use it to catch passes. He looks like a basketball player boxing out defenders and catching the ball. He has excellent body control as he can catch the ball well and keep his balance. Then, on defense, he plays well as a safety. He does a great job of reading and reacting to the play and coming up-field to make a play. He also has good coverage skills as well. Jones is a good athlete on both sides of the ball for Haverford.

An unranked underclassmen who is going to place well once I get to updating the class of 2027. 6’3, 180 pounds, his performance against Bonner still sits pretty in my memory.
Has a five-minute tape on Hudl. Quickly becoming a name to know on top of becoming a focal point of this offense. Tape begins being split out wide and working nine and slant routes. A kid who can do a little bit of everything. Not just a big body, Marcus can shake loose the first defender in cases where he has grass between said defender. Has interceptions to his name, can be deployed in the slot (inside or out) to man curl/flats or even opposing tight-ends aligned between the hashes. Likely comfortable in traditional two-high saefty sets. Can deliver hits, can run and fill the alley in an effort to limit big runs. A fantastic two-way player who is has earned a Division One grade out of myself, high praise after just one sophomore campaign. A lot has to happen for me to feel better about this early stamp. Grades and the weight room have to be a priority. Growth as a pass-catcher, learning the nuances of playing DB, both are crucial components as to whether or not his stock will rise among recruiters. More tape dominating Intet-Ac play, further development from a frame perspective, these are things that will amplify his stock behind the scenes. Great start.

off of our Watchlist in due time. Had him at 6’1, 165 pounds when first identified nearly a year ago. Fast forward, the kid is now 6’2, 180 pounds. Good growth. A sophomore out of The Haverford School. Unsure if he’s related to

, another impressive prospect out of Haverford. Experience working multiple DB alignments, caught a few passes with me present against Bonner if I’m not mistaken. Breakdown will come after watching his mid-season tape posted within the last two hours of writing.
Two-minutes worth of mid-season reps. First rep has Jones playing close to the LOS pre-snap, staying with a tight end on a corner route, a route he undercuts for an interception. Like the way he played this route, Jones is a big kid yet nimble on his feet. Read and reacts to the run well, looks to be comfortable in a roaming safety role for Haverford. Defends the middle of the field well, shows off some range, forces an incompletion against a Sidwar pass that was thrown to middle of field, Jones came from the hash. Is an obvious choice to give red zone targets too at his size, yet I’m enamored with his potential at safety. A nightmare match up for tight ends, a kid that can roam the box and help out in run support. Not elite level runner to cover an entire half-field yet, but this could mean linebacker would be a fit at the next level. Either way, this kid is impressing early on. Excited to get him ranked among his 2027 peers.
