Central DeWitt reached the playoffs last season with a senior quarterback leading a successful and explosive offense. The Sabers will be challenged to replace him with a capable successor to keep the momentum rolling into 2026 as there is a lot of talent throughout the rest of the roster. Miller was one of two backup signal callers to throw a pass last season. He completed 9 of his 14 attempts for 82 yards and a touchdown, and picked up 11 yards on his lone carry. A good overall athlete, Miller also saw time on defense as a sophomore in 2025, collecting 7.5 tackles, three of which were solo stops. He played a key role in a third phase, serving as the team’s punter. Miller averaged 30.9 yards on 19 punts. Evidence of his abilities is hard to find on line. His Hudl page houses clips of two passes from last season and a highlight tape from his ninth-grade year of 2024. There’s enough there to extrapolate his talents. Miller gets the ball out of his hand quickly with zip. Ball placement is accurate, allowing receivers to make plays after the catch. He’s calm in the pocket and keeps his eyes moving through progressions. If he wins the QB1 job, a breakout could very well be loading.
