Staub contributed in multiple phases as a sophomore on a Central DeWitt playoff team. He caught 19 balls for 261 yards and two touchdowns with a two-point conversion. Six of his 7.5 tackles were solo stops, and he forced a fumble. Staub’s 10th-grade highlight video reveals an interesting receiver prospect. His get-off on the snap stands out right away on the film. Staub gets defenders on their heels early and then uses crisp route running to finish them off. He can win 50-50 balls with smart positioning, leaping ability and strong hands. His development as a wideout is worth tracking with the knowledge that his skill set will would help a college on special teams, too.
