has been an absolute blast to watch throughout his career at Saraland- since his freshman season, Lacey has been one of the top quarterbacks in the country and has only gotten better every year. Lacey has unreal arm talent- he has a ton of arm strength and terrific accuracy that allows him to place the ball wherever he wants on the field. It’s extremely impressive watching how well Lacey connects with his receivers, no matter where they are on the field, Lacey hits his targets perfectly in stride and places the ball only where they can make a play on it. Lacey is also really mobile and can avoid pressure, escape the pocket, and make some great throws on the run as well. All of this showed up on tape this past season- Lacey had a dominant senior year where he completed 185-299 passing attempts for 3042 yards and 40 touchdowns to only 7 interceptions. It’s been a blast covering Lacey’s career at Saraland, he’s a special player with loads of potential at the next level. Be sure to watch out for him at Texas, he’s going to develop into a top-tier college quarterback!

Lacey has a phenomenal arm- he has terrific arm strength and accuracy that allows him to place the ball wherever he wants on the field. It’s extremely impressive watching how well Lacey connects with his receivers, he hits them perfectly in stride and places the ball only where they can make a play on it. Lacey also has a bunch of mobility that allows him to avoid pressure, escape the pocket, and make plays on the run as well. Last fall Lacey had a terrific junior season where he recorded 219/315 passing attempts for 3448 yards and 42 touchdowns, and 5 rushing touchdowns on the year. It’s been unbelievable watching Lacey play over the last few seasons, what he’s been able to do at Saralnd has been incredible. With how well he’s played, it’s only right that Lacey is ranked as the #2 player in his class- he’s set up for another monster year this fall and will be a player to watch out for in college football when he ends up at Texas next year!

has been incredible to watch. Lacey has an extremely talented arm that throws with a lot of touch, accuracy, and anticipation- it doesn’t matter where his target is located he’ll find a way to get the ball to them regardless of how difficult the throw may be. In addition to his arm talent, Lacey is also incredibly athletic- he can make a lot of throws both inside and outside the pocket, scramble under pressure, and can take hits on the rare occasion he doesn’t get the ball out in time. Last fall was an extraordinary season for Lacey- he recorded 219/315 attempts for 3448 yards and 42 touchdowns with only 8 interceptions in the air while also picking up 50 yards and 5 touchdowns on the ground as well. Lacey has been committed to Texas for over a year now, giving them an incredibly talented option in the national 2025 QB class. Keep watch of what he and Saraland are able to do again this season- it’ll be exciting no doubt!

Lacey’s arm talent was particularly evident on a sequence of tight-window throws in the red zone, showcasing his precision and confidence. He demonstrated excellent control of the offense, frequently making audacious audibles at the line that paid off. His poise in the pocket, even when under duress, allowed him to make complex reads and deliver strikes downfield. His deep ball accuracy was particularly impressive, connecting on multiple throws over 40 yards. Lacey displayed excellent mobility, frequently extending plays with his legs and converting key third downs. His decision-making was sharp, avoiding turnovers and consistently finding the open man. Lacey also showed an unexpected flair for the dramatic, executing a flawless two-minute drill before halftime, threading needles and managing the clock expertly. Dude is going to be an all time great.
