Pettway is an explosive threat outside who can attack and create huge plays at every level of the field. I’m really impressed with Pettaway’s route running- he’s quick on his feet, gains tons of separation from DBs, and is a constant threat underneath and over the top who constantly finds ways to get open and make big plays.

Pettaway is also great at finding extra yards after the catch- he does a great job escaping tackles and making defenders miss to maximize every reception, no matter who he’s lined up against.

I’m excited to see what’s in store for Pettway this next season, he made some impressive plays last fall you can see below, and is only just getting started.

Larry Pettway Jr made a name for himself this past Saturday and will certainly be a name to look out for in the coming years- the young 2028 looks the part and could very well be the next top WR to come out of Saraland. Speed kills, and Pettway has a ton of it- he was flying around the field during drills, consistently torching DBs and coming up with some huge grabs off a wide variety of routes. I was really impressed with Pettway’s route running, he is incredibly quick, plays with a ton of twitch, and can get open at multiple levels of the field. It was also really encouraging seeing how Pettway attacked the ball- he’s got a set of really impressive hands he used to fight through contact and bring in some tough-to-catch passes while covered. I really am excited to see what is in store for Pettway this next season, he’s got a bright future ahead of him at Saraland.
