Expert Analysis

Williams was excellent during the one-on-one period and the only guy I saw beat him was Mailangi. He has a good mix of speed and power moves and knows how to use the offensive linemen’s leverage against them. Williams caught guys leaning too much a few times, threw them forward and got into the backfield. His initial punch is strong and he throws moves quickly before the offensive lineman can recover.

He had a strong showing at the National Preps Showcase last spring. Williams is a good power rusher who can get under offensive linemen and drive them back. In the run game, he can split double teams and has a nice swim move to get into the backfield from the inside.
Colorado State, Oregon State and UNLV have offered him since the season ended and last year was a big year from him as far as development went.

Williams holds offers from Sacramento State, Arizona, and Colorado State and offers good length for the defensive tackle position. Although it’s still a raw and developing prospect, he showed good hand violence in the competition drills and is a fluid athlete when moving in space and changing direction, but is still a developing pass rusher from his defensive tackle spot. He has good sophomore tape, and shows he is solid against the run and a high IQ interior player that should only continue to grow and develop/become more technically sound over the next two seasons.

Williams is one of the more impressive defensive tackles across California regardless of class. He is a well built 0-3 tech that moves extremely well for his size and his violent off the ball and controls blockers with his hands with a quick strike. He shows instant lockout to keep blockers away from his chest and does a good job at redirecting towards the ball and playing behind his pads. He is a technically sound interior pass rusher with a quick use of hands and understands went to flip his hips and bend in tight spaces inside. Williams is already very polished against the pass and run for only a 2027 prospect, and will only continue to grow and develop. He holds offers from Arizona, Colorado state and Sacramento State.
