Kingston did a lot of good things on Friday night and made plays with his legs and his arm in there victory over Dewitt. I was impressed with Kingstons poise as he stood in on many plays and delivered the football while taking a shot. Kingston displayed a lot of toughness and moved the pocket to keep the Panther defense off balance all night. Kingston made a lot of throws that were not easy to make and displayed a big arm as he zipped the ball into his receivers all night. Kingston also made multiple plays in short yard situations to move the chains and keep drives alive for the comets. Kingston is a leader at Quarterback and commands a huddle with the best of them. Watch out for the comets as the regular season comes to an end expect to see Kingstons number called often as he will be the engine that drives the train into the playoffs.

Now, we have a little bit of game film from Kingston! Unsurprisingly, most of these highlights are run stops. Kingston checks some of the most important boxes when it comes to stopping the run. First off, he’s a sound tackler. Plays like 0:49 and 0:57 show good 1-on-1 open-field tackling. Good job wrapping up and securing the ball carrier. Furthermore, Kingston’s play recognition is about average. He gets the job done, but could react a little bit faster.

There are also some offensive highlights. 0:24 shows a deep crosser, beating man coverage for an 88-yard gain. 1:11 seems like a bit of a broken play, but Kingston does a nice job improvising, making a good catch, and earning good yardage before the fumble.

I like Kinston’s tackling and his offensive explosiveness. I’ve always loved Kingston’s upside, and look forward to seeing him continue to improve and break out throughout this season.
