A center needs to be versatile, aggressive and cerebral. Lucas is all 3, no doubt. His film speaks for itself. He finishes every block through the whistle, and never misses an opportunity to absolutely bury his opponent. He understands leverage, understands how to get his job done effectively and has the physical tools to go right along with it. As far as the passing game goes, Lucas was able to stymie some extremely tough defensive linemen. Strong lower half, great anchor and the ability to move laterally and stay in front whether his opponent is throwing speed, power or a mix. Great upside heading into 2026 for Lucas.

Grand Ledge has surged to the top of the Capital Area Blue league, and much of that is because of their offensive line.
Lucas has had a great season thus far, earning time at multiple positions on the offensive line. His week 1-3 tape kicks off with a great down block, successfully getting his hands inside, and forcing the DT away from the C gap. Second, a display of flat-out great effort. Lucas drives his defender 10 yards back and flattens him at the end. Jumping to 1:45, Lucas again shows good anchor and eliminates the much slower NT.
Whether Lucas is at tackle or center, he’s done a good job blocking the man in front of him. I think his strength as absolutely at center.

- Gains ground quickly- a weapon when pulling, blocking at second level
- Can improve strength, but still does a good job of locking on and driving. Able to dominate smaller defenders.
- A few improvised blocks late in plays, further demonstrating effort and focus
- Not sure how skilled Lucas is as a pass blocker
