Expert Analysis
Hunter Tierney | Prep Redzone Scout
Kingston Anetema is one of those receivers who just feels comfortable no matter the situation. He’s got that top‑end speed to flat‑out finish when he slips behind the defense, but what really makes him tough to deal with is how cleanly he separates. Corners barely get a chance to get their hands on him before he’s already created space. He’s sharp with his cuts, savvy with his hands, and he understands leverage like a veteran — using every little detail to win at the line and shake defenders downfield. You watch him attack press coverage and it’s not just physical, it’s calculated, like he knows exactly what the DB is about to try. That polish makes him dangerous because once he’s free, he’s not just catching short stuff, he’s a threat to stretch the field. And when the ball is in the air, he plays like he expects to come down with it every single time. His old quarterback clearly trusted him a ton — you don’t keep getting balls thrown your way in double coverage unless the QB knows you’ll turn them into highlights. And more often than not, that’s exactly what he did, turning contested looks into momentum‑changing plays.

Anetema was flying by defensive backs and making some big plays during the one-on-one period. One of the coaches was very impressed by Anetema and was getting everybody’s attention for his reps. He has strong hands and caught anything remotely near him.

Anetema came into Sunday as one of the biggest recruiting risers this month after picking up offers from Cal and UConn in the weeks leading up to the showcase. He’s a high-upside athlete 6’1″/175 that showed the tools and playmaking ability that have him ranked as a top-10 ATH in PRZ CA’s 2027 rankings. Brings solid length and speed as a vertical threat and tracks the ball extremely well downfield. Anetema- who also holds an offer from Colorado St.- has his stock trending up coming into the offseason.

Great athlete with a long 6’1” 175 lb. frame and good growth potential. Had a breakout freshman season with 70 receptions for over 1,200 yards and 15 touchdowns while adding four interceptions on defense. He’s strong and physical on both sides of the ball possessing great instincts and game awareness for a freshman that puts himself in position to make game breaking plays. High-level body control and coordination make him a natural pass catcher that doesn’t need a lot of space to make a catch. Love his ability to high point the ball and use his leaping ability to go over the top of defenders on jump balls, especially in the redzone. Strength allows him to run through contact as a route runner and after the catch. Proved extremely tough for secondary defenders to wrap and get to the ground. Picked up his first offer from Colorado State in September but is a high ceiling prospect that will see his recruitment skyrocket as he progresses.
