Kasson-Mantorville’s football team had a heckuva 2025 campaign, going 11-2 and finishing as Minnesota’s Class 4A state runner-up, losing by a lone touchdown to Orono in the state final. The Komets‘ success was significantly aided by underclassman and sophomore Keymoni Bent Keymoni Bent 5'9" | 160 lbs | ATH Kassonmantorville | 2028 State MN , a tremendous multi-sport talent in Minnesota’s 2028 class. The football and track standout has popped off 11.38 100M and 22.96 200M PRs this spring for the Komets, and you can see that speed immediately in his sophomore highlights, where he opens his tape with an explosive kickoff return against a loaded 2025 Byron roster. The rep shows Bent leap over a couple tackles like a high-hurdler, barely breaking stride before getting hawked down by the backside pursuer for an 80ish-yard gain, and he also manufactured a 99-yard pick-six in the state playoffs for a beautiful display of athleticism and playmaking ability. Bent is also a patient, instinctive, ball-hawking DB from his cornerback spot, and he owns ankle-breaking quickness and COD ability in space with the ball in-hand. He’s also comfortable under the deep ball and shows impressive and noticeable 50/50 and contested catch ability, game-breaking acceleration and the top-end speed to finish splash plays for six, and he closes quickly and sucks in space as a tackler and defensive back. Can’t wait to get some looks at this kid this summer on the camp trail.

One of the better multi-sport athletes out of Kasson-Mantorville in the past decade – which is certainly saying something – 2028 Keymoni Bent Keymoni Bent 5'9" | 160 lbs | ATH Kassonmantorville | 2028 State MN only strengthened his growing & impressive athletic resume with the Komets 2025 state 4A runner-up campaign. Nothing like win-or-go-home playoff football at U.S. Bank Stadium to make an underclassman get used to the bright lights, and Bent has also proved his has multi-sport accomplishment in him, coming in at 10th at 172AA in the January 22nd ranking update from The Guillotine. Plus, he posted an 11.59 100M and 23.14 200M in sections of the 2025 outdoor T&F season last school year to really up the ante.
On tape, Bent proved he was a dynamic utility weapon with game-changing speed in the Komets‘ triple-option attack, and he opens his tape by hurdling a would-be tackler on a kickoff return in the heavyweight section final against Byron to showcase his explosiveness. Bent displays great contact balance for his size and electric open-field quickness and footwork that makes for a fun combination to watch on tape, and he was a big-play machine as both a RB and receiver for Kasson-Mantorville as a sophomore. Bent also displayed excellent 50/50 ball and contested catch capability, as well as strong hands and the vertical bounce to fully extend, climb the ladder, and reel in and finish catches through contact and big impact. Could possibly project to either side of the ball in college. Excellent sophomore campaign for the 2028 talent!
