Expert Analysis
Matt Morrow | Prep Redzone Scout
As I said before, Kenyan is probably the most talented player in Charlotte; a lot of people don’t know about him when you think about the top players in the city. Kenyan has recently been offered by both Charlotte and North Carolina Central, while having current offers from Coastal Carolina and East Carolina. Kenyan is primarily a hybrid linebacker/defensive back, but he showed his receiving skills last season with a game-winning catch to defeat Central Cabarrus on the road, winning a jump ball in 1-on-1 coverage, so it may be something we see more of from him in his senior year.

Kenyan has done a lot of work in his career on the defensive side of the ball, but last season Kenyan stepped up on offense at wide receiver and caught a game-winning touchdown pass against Central Cabarrus for the Trojans, so he’s got some ATH abilities in him for sure. I always feel like Kenyan gets overshadowed by all of the talent in Charlotte, but he’s a really special player. Last season on defense, he totaled 102 tackles, 4 interceptions, and 3 sacks – literally affecting every level of the defense for Olympic. From a recruiting perspective, Kenyan has offers from Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, and East Carolina – with the Charlotte offer coming in last month.

White is a high-level linebacker with an elite frame and explosive movement skills that immediately stand out on film. At 6’2”, close to 200 pounds, he has the build and range college programs covet, paired with the ability to play true sideline-to-sideline. His production backs it up—113 total tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and 3 interceptions, showing impact against the run, as a blitzer, and in coverage. White diagnoses quickly, closes with burst, and brings a physical edge at the point of contact. With his length, athleticism, and versatility, he profiles as a sneaky Power-4 type prospect whose stock should rise as more eyes get on him.

White exploded onto the scene in 2027 with a monster sophomore year and debuts at seventh overall in what could be one of the best classes in the history of North Carolina. A safety-linebacker tweener, White is always around the ball, with a pick six in his first varsity game and plenty of hits that led to fumbles. He’s a future superstar.
