I really like Crawford as a sleeper DB this upcoming season. He’s not the biggest DB but he possesses good length within his 6ft frame, and doesn’t shy away from contact at all. Physical player with good play rec, frequently showing a good run/pass read. He did a great job playing that 2-high safety spot to patrol and takeaway the deep half of the field. I love his pad level at the point of contact, as he does an excellent job shooting low on much bigger opponents to blow up the run and reacts quickly to go along with it.

A thrilling young piece that is being added to an already excellent cast of secondary players will be 2026 Defensive Back Kamari Crawford Kamari Crawford 6'0" | 160 lbs | DB Chandler | 2026 State AZ . Playing most of his snaps at the junior varsity level in his sophomore season, he did see the field a couple of times at varsity at the safety position. He balled out in JV, being a ballhawk for his team snagging a few INTs, and had positive plays when he saw the field at varsity with some impact tackles. He has exceptional instincts when reading the play, recognizing best from the depth and using great speed and drive on the ball to make plays. When he slams into his tackles, he does it with emphasis, reminding offenses not to test his direction. Leading into his junior year, Crawford is ready to put the state on notice.
