RETURNING STANDOUT

After breaking into our 2027 rankings this offseason, Kadyn Baisden enters his senior year coming off one of the most productive defensive seasons in Class AAAA. Baisden totaled 99 tackles and 11 tackles for loss in 2025, continuing to establish himself as the leader of the Buccaneers’ defense. His move from defensive end to linebacker has proven a natural fit, allowing his athleticism and instincts to take over as he makes plays all over the field. He’s also performed well during the offseason camp circuit with strong testing numbers, further boosting his recruiting profile. Another productive fall should put Baisden firmly on the radar of D3 programs while allowing him to earn looks from the D2 level as well.

Baisden’s role has changed throughout his career, beginning as a defensive end before settling into linebacker, which appears to be a more natural fit for his frame and skill set. That move has allowed his athleticism and instincts to show up more consistently on film. He has also put together a strong offseason on the camp circuit, posting quality testing numbers and continuing to improve his overall profile. Heading into his senior season, Baisden looks like a prospect capable of attracting D3 opportunities with enough upside to draw interest from D2 programs as well.

Kadyn had a great overall showing, starting with a solid testing portion in which he recorded a 9’6″ broad jump, 4.6 shuttle drill, and a 4.94 40-yard dash. Kadyn is a versatile linebacker who can both plant and drive downhill or flip his hips and drop back into coverage. He has a longer frame, which allows him to get hands on receivers/backs to disrupt their timing or break up passes.
