One of the biggest changes in this rankings cycle was the expansion of the 2027 rankings, creating opportunities for a new wave of prospects to earn their place on the board. Some of these players have steadily developed behind the scenes, while others caught our attention through updated film, camp performances, or strong junior seasons that warranted a closer look. Earning a spot in the rankings is never automatic, and each of these prospects did enough to separate themselves from a crowded field. Here are the newest additions to the 2027 Top 170 rankings.

2027 Mingo Central RB Jace Coleman earned a spot in the rankings after putting together a highly productive junior season. Coleman rushed for 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns, establishing himself as one of the top backs in Class AA. He's a quick and shifty running back who runs hard for his size. Coleman has a chance to be one of the premier running backs in his class this fall if he takes another step forward. A strong senior campaign should put him firmly in the conversation for D2 opportunities while giving him a very solid D3 floor.

2027 St. Marys OL Deion Mosley is a name that deserves more attention heading into his senior season. The big offensive lineman brings a massive 6'4 350 frame and has already started drawing interest from college programs, picking up a recent offer from Marietta. Mosley is still developing as a player, but the physical traits are easy to see and give him considerable upside moving forward. As he continues refining his technique and transforming his body, his game should continue to take steps forward as well. Prospects with his size are difficult to find, which makes him an intriguing offensive line prospect in the 2027 class.

2027 Martinsburg OL Jarae McDonald-Gibson is one of the more under-the-radar offensive line prospects in the class and recently helped his case with a strong showing at our Exposure Series camp. He consistently competed well throughout the day and proved he belongs in the conversation with some of the state's better linemen. Size will likely be the biggest question college coaches have during the evaluation process, but McDonald-Gibson can hold his own against quality competition. Playing in a strong Martinsburg program has helped him develop, and he enters his senior season with a chance to continue raising his stock. A productive final year could put him firmly on the radar of D3 programs.

2027 Ripley DB Peyton Keller earned his way into the rankings as one of the more versatile athletes for the Vikings. Keller impacts the game in multiple phases, contributing on both offense and defense while consistently finding ways to make plays. He plays with a physical edge that stands out on defense, especially considering his size, and welcomes contact. The athleticism is evident whether he's running ball carriers down on defense or creating opportunities with the ball in his hands as a wildcat QB. Keller's all-around skill set should make him an attractive prospect for D3 programs looking for a player capable of filling multiple roles.

2027 Mingo Central WR Terrindez Bryant is a player who caught our attention in person at the Exposure Series camp after a productive junior season. Bryant topped 500 receiving yards for the Miners and showed the ability to stretch the field with his speed or in the short pass game. While he may not be the biggest receiver, his explosiveness and ability to create separation make him a difficult matchup. Bryant has the kind of speed that can change a game with a single touch and should be a key piece of Mingo Central's offense again this fall. That athletic trait alone will draw interest from college coaches, giving him D2 upside and a strong D3 floor heading into his senior season.

2027 Brooke ATH Grant Yost is a prospect who feels like he's flying under the radar heading into his senior season. The 6'3 athlete brings good length and versatility, giving him the ability to project at multiple positions depending on how he continues to develop. Yost was a quality contributor for the Bruins as a junior and showed enough flashes to warrant a closer look from college programs. Playing at a school that can sometimes get overlooked and lacking a social media presence has likely limited some of the attention coming his way. With a strong senior season, Yost has the tools to attract legitimate D2 and D3 interest and raise his profile considerably.

2027 Buckhannon-Upshur LB Kadyn Baisden finally breaks into the rankings after being a steady presence for the Buccaneers over multiple seasons. Baisden's role has changed throughout his career, beginning as a defensive end before settling into linebacker, which appears to be a more natural fit for his frame and skill set. That move has allowed his athleticism and instincts to show up more consistently on film. He has also put together a strong offseason on the camp circuit, posting quality testing numbers and continuing to improve his overall profile. Heading into his senior season, Baisden looks like a prospect capable of attracting D3 opportunities with enough upside to draw interest from D2 programs as well.

2027 Clay-Battelle WR/DB Cody Clovis looks ready to take on a much bigger spotlight after being an important piece of the Cee-Bees' state championship run a season ago. Graduation hit Clay-Battelle hard, but Clovis returns as one of the program's top athletes and should have every opportunity to emerge as a featured playmaker this fall. He impacts the game on both sides of the ball and brings the kind of versatility that college programs. Clovis is also a quality track athlete, and that speed shows up on the football field on both sides of the ball. Playing at a small school may limit some of the exposure, but the athletic traits are there for him to attract football recruiting interest during his senior season.

2027 Buckhannon-Upshur LB Greyson Wyland joins his teammate in the rankings after putting together a strong junior season for the Buccaneers. While Kadyn Baisden often draws attention at linebacker, Wyland gives Buckhannon-Upshur another quality presence at the second level and has proven he's a solid player in his own right. He plays with good effort, brings physicality and athleticism to the position, and consistently finds himself around the football. Heading into his senior year, he looks like a prospect worthy of consideration from both D2 and D3 programs.

2027 Sissonville LB Malyki Holtzman is a prospect with plenty of room to rise heading into his senior season. Holtzman immediately stands out on film with his size at 6'1 220, and his physical style of play. He runs hard as a ball carrier, brings a downhill mentality on defense, and has the type of frame that college coaches like to work with. Despite having no social media presence, the upside is evident when watching his tape. A complete senior highlight film and verified testing numbers would go a long way in helping colleges determine his true ceiling, because the physical tools are there for Holtzman to make a bigger jump in the rankings this fall.
