Huntington Beach offensive lineman Justin Tauanuu Justin Tauanuu 6'6" | 280 lbs | OL Huntington Beach | 2024 State CA announced his commitment to Stanford on Sunday.

Sunday was a huge day for Stanford, landing Tauanuu and Mater Dei quarterback Elijah Brown Elijah Brown 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB Narbonne | 2024 State CA .

Tauanuu had a strong showing at the Under Armour Next All-American Camp and showed great body control for his size and some agility. He won the majority of his one-on-one reps.

He chose Stanford over 21 other schools that offered him. In addition to Stanford, he took visits to UCLA and USC.

USC is the 21st school to offer the 6-foot-6 lineman.

Tauanuu had a great showing at the Under Armour Next All-American Camp. He was smooth through the agility drills and won a lot of his one-on-one reps.

Tauanuu is one of the fastest rising OL recruits in the state this offseason since pulling in his first offer from UMass in mid May. The 6’6” 270 lb. offensive tackle out of Huntington Beach possesses an impressive combination of technical ability, athleticism, and length. Flashes excellent quickness and natural movement skills/bend coming out of his stance. He fires out quick to gain positional leverage allowing him to generate power through his lower half and initiate contact. Great feet to match movement and move laterally to sustain his block. Good efficient use of his hands, he snaps them into position and uses them to control or latch on to his opponent. Does a great job using them to counter moves in his pass set. Uses athleticism to quickly kick slide and get in position in pass pro. Total offer count is 10 with programs such as Washington State, Oregon State, San Diego State, and Fresno.
