Lane dominated the game with exceptional coverage, allowing no completions on his side of the field. Displayed outstanding speed and agility to break up passes and prevent big plays. His ability to read the quarterback and adjust to routes showed a high football IQ. His most impactful play was a game-changing interception in the third quarter. His tackling in open space was reliable, contributing to his team’s strong defensive stand.

is a really talented defensive back out of Pike Road who has come a long way in his development as a prospect. Lane is a seriously talented coverage corner that thrives on the outside and in clutch situations. Frequently on tape Lane impressed me with how well he was able to cover and break up passes in the end zone- play after play he makes touchdown-saving plays and puts his team in a great position to succeed. In addition to his coverage skills, Lane is a really intelligent and instinctual player who never seems to get lost- he’s always in the right position to make plays and rarely ever gets beat for big gains. Last fall Lane had a really productive season where he recorded 14 total tackles (10 solo) and 4 pass breakups on the season. Lane has seen his recruitment open up a lot recently, he’s picked up offers from UNLV, West Virginia, Austin Peay, and more! Keep an eye on him this upcoming season, he’s got a lot to offer!

Julius Lane Jr has been a highly productive player in his first two years at Pike Road and Montgomery Catholic, producing as both a pass catcher at WR and on defense as a DB as well. Though really reliable in coverage on defense, Lane Jr. really makes a huge impact on offense at WR, his speed, acceleration, vision, and ability to finish plays is fantastic and can be found easily in his film. On tape, Lane is able to take simple screen/slant passes the distance solely because of his ridiculous speed and athleticism, he makes the difficult stuff look easy. Lane has already received a bunch of attention from the next level, listing offers from Mississippi State, UAB, Western Virginia and more!
