Westfield has a great defensive lineman in Julian Montez. Accumulating 74 tackles and 3 sacks from the defensive line, Julian was found making plays all over the field. Very athletic for a bigger guy, Julian is quick off of the line and is impressive when stunting. He sheds blockers and essentially acts as a road block any time runners enter his territory. And when the play isn’t run in his direction, he puts in great effort to pursue the runner. I’m looking forward to seeing how he progresses as a pass rusher and continues his work as a long snapper.
