The most balanced offensive attack of the State Finals came from Lodi and their loaded offense. Leading the way in the trenches is standout senior Josh Klann Josh Klann 6'7" | 265 lbs | DL Lodi | 2024 State WI . Eau Claire has a special one here. One that I could see playing either side of the line at the next level. Klann caught my eyes most on the OL during the D4 Championship. His length, agile feet, and burst off the line stood out over and over. Josh was able to quickly engage, close the gap on, and control DL. The senior looked natural showing off the reactive athleticism as he mirrored edge rushers. Klann also looked at home out in space. I can’t wait to follow his career at the next level and see how he is utilized.

Rankings Jump: 65 SpotsrnAnother standout trench beast that has shown he offers the versatility to play OL or DL is the Lodi senior Josh Klann Josh Klann 6'7" | 265 lbs | DL Lodi | 2024 State WI . Klann has great length on his 6’5″ frame, and there is plenty of room to continue to build on the 260 lbs already there. On the DL, Josh does a good job of using his length to his advantage. He makes first contact, maintains separation, and then uses hand fighting/pass rush moves to defeat the block. The big man eats up ground with his solid first step and long strides. Last, the long, lean athlete does a good job of playing low and keeping an athletic stance so he can react quickly. Everyone wants a piece of the Lodi OL/DL. He holds offers from the FCS level to the D3 level.

The 6’5″ 240 lbs DL/OL out of Lodi has received interest from every level from FCS to D3. It is only a matter of time until the big man earns that first offer. On offense, Josh”s highlights show off a rangy, powerful OG. He pulls with aggression and opens up massive holes as he buries unsuspecting DL into the ground. Josh is such an impressive athletes. He fits the mold you want in an OL. Someone with the feet of a lightweight boxer and the hands of a heavyweight boxer. On defense, Klann eats up space with his long strides. He also narrows the OL’s gap for response with his long arms. Josh shows active hands and utilizes pass rush moves to beat opponents. I truly believe Josh could play either side of the trenches at the next level. I’ll be interested to see what he is recruited as.

Stats: 6 Tackles, 1 FF, Starting OGrnKlann is going to debut high in the rankings after this season. The junior is a massive 6’7″ 245 lbs with room on that frame to fill out into a special specimen at the next level. Josh projects as a DE at the next level. He has all the length in the world, and used it Friday night. Klann also demonstrated a devastating club move that easily shoved OTs out of his rush path. For his size, Josh also has solid athleticism, and change of direction. It allowed him to get around the edge and create pressure as well as plays against the run in the backfield. That skill set also allowed him to be effective as a pulling guard on offense. It was a great showing for the breakout junior. I believe he is going to play at a high level.
