Tustin two-way lineman Jon Ioane Jon Ioane 6'3" | 290 lbs | DL Tustin | 2027 State CA announced his commitment to Washington on Thursday.
Ioane had 50 tackles, 14 for a loss, four sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery for Tustin last season and earned All-County honors from the Orange County Register.
He also had offers from Cal, Penn State, Stanford and UCLA among others. Ioane is the fifth player from California in Washington’s 2027 recruiting class.

Ioane had 52 tackles, 9 for a loss, eight sacks and four forced fumbles last season and even played some quarterback, but Oregon offered him as an offensive lineman.
He also has offers from TCU, Notre Dame, Texas A&M and USC among others.

Ioane is the definition of an All-Purpose player. The 290-pound defensive lineman played quarterback in meaningful games for the Tillers last season and held his own. As a defensive lineman, he puts offensive linemen on skates and is constantly in the backfield. He’s a versatile guy who can even play on the edge sometimes but works best as a 3-technique tackle. Ioane has quick hands and can get the offensive lineman’s hands off him quickly. North Carolina and Texas A&M have offered him recently.

Ioane is one of the top interior pass rushers across the entire state of California, and plays with a relentless motor at all times and redirect abilities behind the LOS. He shows solid gap control, and has a high IQ for his age while very well coached and technically sound. He is part of an absolutely loaded 2027 class for Tustin that make tons of noise across the section over the next three seasons. Utah, SDSU, Washington and Arizona
