The St Anthony’s receiver has played on varsity since his Sophomore season making his presence known across the Catholic AAA league. Standing at 5’10” 175 pounds, Russo has a solid build for the position.
Since his Sophomore campaign, Russo has solidified himself has a constant contributor for St Anthony’s. He hauled in five touchdowns in his Junior season and will see his number called more this fall. He excels in creating separation and finds himself open on almost all his catches. He has solid speed paired with good hands.
Russo is an extremely reliable receiver who flies under the radar. A guy who isn’t flashy but contributes nonstop. Definitely a name to watch this fall.

Russo has been impressive over the last two years on varsity, but I think he’ll gain a ton of recognition during his final season. He’s had a solid offseason and could end up being the top receiver for the Friars. Last year, he hauled in five touchdowns and made numerous big plays. Don’t be surprised if that trend continues—and even increases. Russo has the ability to be a dangerous deep threat and will be a key player this season.

Russo is one of my favorite route runners in the 2026 class, and he continued to consistently show that he can separate against man coverage or find open space against zone throughout the weekend.
Russo made some really nice plays in the seam, altering his routes to lead the quarterback to open space. He and Robinson do a great job reading each other and connecting through tough openings down the field.

St. Anthony’s had a strong trio of receivers in their dynamic offense, which featured a strong quarterback run game. Russo is the only prospect of that trio returning. After a solid statistical year, it should have an even more prominent role as a senior.
Russo did not land in the rankings because of where I think he will be next year, but I thought that he has some extremely impressive Jr. tape, even as the WR3 for St. Anthony’s. I think the kid is an absolute technician as a route runner—he has great balance and can move at full speed with a low center of gravity. On certain breaks, he utilizes quick, efficient feet in his cuts to separate.
There are several strong blocking reps on tape—WRs at the high school level always need to get bigger and stronger for the next level. Still, he shows some of the best willingness to block at the WR position this class, being one of three WR prospects in the top 15 where I thought his blocking was worth mentioning in my notes.
Production can grow, and I expect it to his senior year, but with what he has out already, he shows some good quicks and athleticism and does a great job separating.

Last year Russo showed some flashes as a sophomore. Now with several seniors graduating including KJ Duff, he might be the most targeted receiver this fall. He’s the returning reception leader for St Anthony’s and he built chemistry with

in their first season playing together. Russo is an excellent athlete with terrific hands. He’ll be making plays over the middle and can rack up a ton of yards after the catch.

The St Anthony’s product had some of the more impressive routes and grabs in this event. He had one of the best catches of the entire showcase. Russo was able to adjust his body and make a catch falling down with a defender contesting him. His ball-tracking ability was elite during the 1v1 portion. He ran a variety of routes that resulted in easy catches. His short routes were quick and precise, as he was fast out of his breaks and was able to haul in the pass. Russo’s deep route running was also on display, he showed the breakaway speed to burn defenders. With several seniors graduating, Russo will be one of the Friar’s top targets next fall.
