Rounding out a spectacular LB corps for the Dodgers is senior John Hughes John Hughes 6'0" | 225 lbs | LB Fort Dodge | 2026 State IA , who has the size and impressive athleticism to thrive as a solid asset for a loaded defense. Hughes recorded 47.5 tackles (34 solo), 5.5 TFLs, a sack, and 2 fumble recoveries in 2024. Working as an Inside Linebacker, Hughes isn’t particularly quick, but he can quickly dissect a play and get to the correct spot to stop it. Hughes shows great tackling form, having a bit more build for his size, and is able to drive the ball-carrier back and coming up big on short-yardage situations. Hughes adds himself to the name of returning starters for the defense that may rise to finish as one of the top units in Class 4A next season.
