Patton Fitzpatrick | Prep Redzone Scout
The senior quarterback was one of the top performers at the PRZ MI Stock Up Showcase. McCarthy, a 5’11, 212 lbs signal caller from Petoskey, is a dual-threat playmaker. During individual drills, he showed off his polished footwork in the pocket and ability to get the ball out quick and on-time. One of the more impressive deep ball passers during the 1 on 1 period, McCarthy was dropping the ball in the bucket on vertical routes. This senior remains uncommitted but has an opportunity to be a strong quarterback option once he lands with a college program.

Another Petoskey player we can’t say enough good things about, McCarthy can flat out sling it. He’s got a big strong arm that can go deep at any time. His pocket presence is impressive, and his ability to move and extend plays and still deliver downfield is something very few can do on a consistent basis. He also drops it in a bucket down the sideline where only his wideout can make a play on it. The fact that he could go deep at any moment for a huge throw makes him someone you want to keep an eye on, as he makes every play exciting.
