The reigning region player of the year also just received an offer from Toledo, the list of offers continues to grow.

Has to be mentioned that Overton Jr. has a chance to not only be the highest ranked back in Virginia but the entire country.  It is incredible when you think about everything this young man has accomplished so far and then you realize he is only a junior.

You can make a very strong argument that Prince William County has the top three running backs in the class of 2025 for the entire state of Virginia. Between Overton Jr, Hunt and Patriot’s star Jackson McCarter all three of them could all be playing division 1 football in two years. One of (if not 1) top running backs for the class of 2025, Jeffrey Overton Jeffrey Overton 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Freedom | 2025 VA did what he does in Freedom’s shutout win score a number of touchdowns. He had 5 total with 4 coming on the ground and his numbers could of been higher if the Eagles had not called off the dogs early in this contest. A wise decision I might add as I can’t wait to see Overton and company go up against some tough opponents come November. This was a typical game for the defending champs, they got out to a big lead early and put everything on cruise control, the Eagles have bigger aspirations on their mind. The junior running back already has offers from several FBS schools and by the time his season is finished, he should be one of the top ranked players in the entire country. (Yes he is that good)

The State Champs workhorse running back may achieve all of his school records before the end of his junior year. Running in a long family tradition, Jeffrey Overton Jeffrey Overton 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Freedom | 2025 VA Jr. is the next big thing at running back. He has already received offers from North Carolina, Maryland and East Carolina just to name a few, it is only a matter of time where nearly 20 plus FBS schools will come calling.  Should be interesting to see how the Freedom Eagles handle their early season schedule, with big matchups against Varina and Dematha right out of the gate. I would expect them to hand off to the all purpose back Overton but will have to see.

I cannot stress to you enough about how good this  young man already is. Overton junior may break the schools all-time rushing record before his time at Freedom is over. Coming from a family of stars he is in line to be the next one and he has plenty of FCS level offers to show for it. Old Dominion, Virginia and Duke are a few of the more recent Institutions to offer him, by now his list of offers may be in the 50s and I am not surprised. Playing for the state champions Freedom loves them some football and Overton is no exception!

When we redo the Virginia state rankings like every state there are bound to be changes. When we update the 2025 rankings if Overton and his 43 touchdowns as a Junior are not higher than top 20, we may be doing something wrong. Much like Hughes, Overton contributing in a major way as a sophomore to Freedom’s championship run. He is a big patience running back who just needs one gap to make you pay. Overton has already received offers from Boston College, Virginia and Virginia Tech with more big time offers coming. The tradition at Freedom lives on part of that through him and his family (His uncle is their Head Coach).
