The Bruins have played like a squad that wants to be in the playoffs and a win tonight against Hylton will lock up their post-season ticket. If you haven’t noticed Coach Robinette loves to run the ball behind his big offensive line and Landon Hunt Landon Hunt 5’10” | 210 lbs | RB Forest Park | 2025 State VA has been the lead back all season. Notching the 1,000 yards rushing yard threshold earlier in October, Hunt is a powerful running back with great vision and deceptive speed. Look for him to get going early against a Bulldogs defense that is reeling a bit these past couple of weeks. Forest Park controls their own destiny starting tonight, behind Mr. Hunt they begin their next step.
The Woodbridge Vikings will close out their 2023 season tonight with a chance to play spoiler against cross town rival Gar-Field. While overall it may be disappointing to not see the Vikings in the playoffs you certainly cannot place any blame behind the play of Amaree Womack Amaree Womack 5’11” | 170 lbs | DB Woodbridge | 2024 VA . The standout corner for Coach Longerbeam’s squad has had an all-conference type of senior season, one that has lead to interest from schools such as Catawba College and Lawrence, with many more schools sure to follow. He is an excellent student with a 3.4 GPA and can play at the next level, you will see so yourself soon enough.

If you have been following my coverage this fall you should know I am very high up on the culture Head Coach Reggie Scott is building over at Colgan and another reason why is studs like LJ Richards LJ Richards 6’1″ | 195 lbs | LB Colgan | 2026 State VA returning next year. Richards has been on a terror at his linebacker position for the Sharks, notching double digits solo tackles the past two games, this young man has a chance to be special. Only a sophomore he is one of the team leaders in tackles and is still growing into his body at 6’1 and 200 lbs.. For the entire state of Virginia this is a name you will not forget for the class of 2026.

Watching Collin Hughes Collin Hughes 6’2″ | 225 lbs | DL Hylton | 2024 State VA on tape does not do his proper justice, you need to see him play live to understand how impactful he can be. The young man can rush the passer, stuff the run and can cover backs/tightends with the best of them. He has received interest from several FCS schools and the clock is ticking to pull an offer to this 2024 star. While Hylton’s playoff hopes ended a few weeks back, Hughes and the Bulldogs can still finish off their season on a high note tonight.

You can make a very strong argument that Prince William County has the top three running backs in the class of 2025 for the entire state of Virginia. Between Overton Jr, Hunt and Patriot’s star Jackson McCarter all three of them could all be playing division 1 football in two years. Jeffrey Overton Jeffrey Overton 5’10” | 165 lbs | WR Freedom | 2025 VA Jr. family talent pool runs deep, and he has taken the baton from his father and is pulling away.
