Nick Harris
Nick Harris
In case you didn’t notice the South Lakes Seahawks took down the Madison Warhawks in a 12-7 slugfest. Remaining undefeated the Seahawks were led by who else senior quarterback Nick Harris. On the evening Harris threw for 200 yards and completed over 60 percent of his passes, but most importantly ZERO turnovers. Like he has done all season he protected the football against an onslaught of defenders from the Warhawks. He had the game’s only touchdown pass midway through the fourth quarter which turned out to be the difference. What an impressive senior season for this young man, he is know up to 27 touchdowns and 2 interceptions, college coaches better not miss out before it is too late.
Facing elimination and trailing Colgan by two scores, freshman quarterback Denari Hill Denari Hill 6’2″ | 175 lbs | QB Woodbridge | 2027 VA stepped up to lead the Vikings to a dramatic comeback. Woodbridge was trailing 20-7 in the fourth quarter when Hill stepped and delivered two touchdown strikes marking three total on the evening. Watching this kid up close you can see the potential, what really impressed me was the big zero on the turnover section for him. At 15 years old he has 19 touchdowns to go along with 6 interceptions, the way he is progressing do not be surprised to see those touchdown numbers double.
One of (if not 1) top running backs for the class of 2025, Jeffrey Overton Jeffrey Overton 5’10” | 165 lbs | WR Freedom | 2025 VA did what he does in Freedom’s shutout win score a number of touchdowns. He had 5 total with 4 coming on the ground and his numbers could of been higher if the Eagles had not called off the dogs early in this contest. A wise decision I might add as I can’t wait to see Overton and company go up against some tough opponents come November. This was a typical game for the defending champs, they got out to a big lead early and put everything on cruise control, the Eagles have bigger aspirations on their mind. The junior running back already has offers from several FBS schools and by the time his season is finished, he should be one of the top ranked players in the entire country. (Yes he is that good)

Highlights
Naamon Eller
Naamon Eller
The Unity Reed Lions achieved their first win of the season last week stomping Rock Ridge 38-14. Behind a strong rushing attack and stout defense the Lions were finally able break through in the win column, after several heartbreaking losses. A big reason why was the play of junior Naamon Eller, watching his tape the kid was all over the field! Achieving 14 solo tackles, no matter what Rock Ridge tried on offense he was there to sniff it out. Part of returning group of core players, Unity Reed should feel confident about their future, especially after a game like this one from Eller.

Break up the Bruins winners of 6 in a row including a shootout victory over West Springfield last Friday. Lake Braddock may have their offense humming at the proper time and junior receiver Robert Hollien Robert Hollien 6’0″ | 180 lbs | WR Lake Braddock Secondary | 2025 State VA is coming alive. On the night Hollien had 5 receptions, two touchdowns including a nifty 62 yard catch and run that set up his squad for a big night offensively. Lake Braddock has a plethora of weapons at their disposal and the way this young man has come along do not expect them to slow down. Hollien adds another dynamic to an explosive offense and tough defense, all which should make the Bruins a very tough out come playoff time.
