Torres is a 6’0″ 280 pound defensive tackle that is best against the run. He is powerful with his punch against offensive lineman. Wraps up well and stuffs against the run as he can take on the block, get off it, and make the tackle. Hits with power.
At 6’0” 280 pound Torres is a defensive tackle/nose guard that is physical using his hands and clogs up things in the run game for opposing offenses. He can take on blockers for his linebacker or make plays himself. Also got a big man TD lining up in the backfield going in from 2 yards out for the score!

‘s film, his wrestling background immediately stands out. He plays with an excellent understanding of pad level and leverage, excelling at the nose guard position where he can fully utilize his strengths. Torres’s physicality is evident as he dominates along the defensive line. Additionally, he has a strong grasp of blocking schemes, consistently playing his gap with proper technique.
We have the big man out of St. Francis as a DL currently, but this fall the sophomore put together impressive tape at offensive guard. Jaylen has nimble, quick feet that are able to move his big, powerful frame in any direction smoothly. Torres has a strong anchor that prevents him from giving ground and collapsing the pocket. In the run game, Jaylen is able to pull and trap DTs and completely remove them from the gap. Outside of pulling, Jaylen is able to also create positive movement in the trenches with a low center of gravity, strong leg drive, and a powerful upper body. The sophomore is a budding prospect that has a bright future.
