He plays with an excellent understanding of pad level and leverage, excelling at the nose guard position where he can fully utilize his strengths. Torres’s physicality is evident as he dominates along the defensive line. Additionally, he has a strong grasp of blocking schemes, consistently playing his gap with proper technique.

We have the big man out of St. Francis as a DL currently, but this fall the sophomore put together impressive tape at offensive guard. Jaylen has nimble, quick feet that are able to move his big, powerful frame in any direction smoothly. Torres has a strong anchor that prevents him from giving ground and collapsing the pocket. In the run game, Jaylen is able to pull and trap DTs and completely remove them from the gap. Outside of pulling, Jaylen is able to also create positive movement in the trenches with a low center of gravity, strong leg drive, and a powerful upper body. The sophomore is a budding prospect that has a bright future.
