The athleticism and change of direction are evident. Drives hard on the ball. Hits the wide receiver hard breaking the ball away from them. Tackles well in space on the perimeter wrapping up low.

Joliet Catholic is no stranger to producing talented ball carriers, and they have yet another future star in freshman Javonte Williams. This past season, Williams was electric with the ball in his hands, consistently showcasing his ability to stop on a dime, change direction effortlessly, and make defenders miss in the open field. His combination of elite agility and top-end speed allows him to not only evade tacklers but also pull away from defenders once he breaks free. With three more years to develop within Joliet Catholic’s storied program, it will be exciting to watch how his career unfolds and just how dominant he can become at the high school level.
