Williams finished the game with four tackles and secured an interception, consistently impacting the contest with his playmaking ability. He possesses excellent size and speed for the position, allowing him to close quickly on the football and hold up in coverage. Williams shows strong ball skills, range, and confidence attacking the ball in the air. His physical tools and production point to a defender with clear next-level upside and scheme versatility.

The talented defensive back prospect is coming over to Shelby High School this upcoming season, and he felt right at home in Cleveland County on Gardner-Webb’s campus. Showing very good footwork combined with nice long speed to run with receivers, Jayden earned two offers from his camp performance, from Concord and Gardner-Webb universities respectively.

After playing well for Kings Mountain, Williams is transferring to Shelby for his final year at the high school level, so I’m interested to see how he performs in that system.
