. This is a kid who is dedicated to his craft. He’s always in the weight room, or on the field putting in work!
That work makes him a very good football player on Friday nights. He plays DB/WR, but I like him on the defensive side of the ball. He’s listed at 5’11 |165 lbs. I like his ability to come up and make plays in the open field. He has fluent hips which allows him to cover the length of the field to make plays on the ball. played safety last year for Canon-McMillan. He played it at a high level last year. He did a good job of playing a deep zone, but also coming up field to make tackles in the open field. In pass coverage, he was a ball hawk. He had several interceptions by being around where the passes were thrown and then anticipating the pass and breaking on the ball. Baxter is a good combination of size, strength, and athleticism at safety.
