is showing why he’s one of the top tight ends in the entire state — and it’s more than just his pass-catching ability. With that being said, in the redzone he quickly becomes a go-to target for his quarterback at a whopping 6’5″ 230 lbs with an impressive catch radius to go along with it. Earlier this season I discussed what makes Markovich so valuable to his offense now, as well as what he can bring with him to UMass:
Being [6’5″], weighing 230 lbs, being able to move as fluidly as Markovich can, and having incredibly reliable hands makes him an offensive coordinator’s dream from his pass-catching abilities alone; but that doesn’t even factor in how effective he is in the run game. Helping create lanes for his running backs, you can see that he truly cares about blocking and doesn’t treat it as an opportunity to rest.

‘s performance may not look like much from a quick skim of the box score, but he made much more of an impact than those numbers would suggest. Coming up huge (both literally and figuratively) when it mattered most, the 6’5″ tight end’s only two catches on the day both came in the endzone. Being that tall, weighing 230 lbs, being able to move as fluidly as Markovich can, and having incredibly reliable hands makes him an offensive coordinator’s dream from his pass-catching abilities alone; but that doesn’t even factor in how effective he is in the run game. Helping create lanes for his running backs, you can see that he truly cares about blocking and doesn’t treat it as an opportunity to rest. Markovich truly is the total package at the tight end position.

Markovich checks a lot of boxes that colleges look for in a TE prospect with his multidimensional skillset in combination with his size and athleticism. He’s continued to stretch out and add weight now at 6’5” 230 lbs. while maintaining his body control and movement skills. Flashes both as a blocker and receiver. He’s an aggressive blocker with good footwork and technique to sustain and move defenders. He’s able to line up and be accurate to the target while on the move. He adjusts and shows to be a great one on one blocker in space. As a receiver, he’s got a large catch radius and strong hands. He competes for the ball at the catch point and comes down with 50/50 balls. Didn’t see a ton of looks as a receiver in 2023 but the ability is there and he should see an increased role as a senior. Now holds 10 D1 offers with three coming in this month.
