Jackson Murray Jackson Murray 6'2" | 265 lbs | DL Horizon | 2025 State AZ is an absolute handful, even for the best interior linemen in the state. Facing a 6’4″ 290 lb guard for much of the night, Murray’s combination of speed and strength was just overpowering. He does a great job of making sure to play the rush first and not run past the ball carrier on his way to an empty-handed quarterback. A smart player with a high motor, he’d often sniff out screens and chase them all the way to the sideline if need be. That kind of all-around effort from someone who’s as dominant as he is when it comes to getting to the quarterback isn’t something you see every day. Play after play Murray would reach into a deep bag of tricks and pull out different pass rush moves; none of which the Pioneers’ offensive line seemed to have an answer for.

Murray is currently one of the fastest rising recruits in the state after an impressive spring ball and showcase that resulted in six D1 offers coming in last week from a variety of Mountain West and FCS programs. He’s a well-built 6’1” 265 lb. defensive tackle that is packed with strength and power at the POA. In addition, he flashes excellent initial quickness off the line to beat blockers out of their stance to gain positional leverage. Extremely active with his hands with a violent punch to put opponents off balance and then shed. Love his long arm technique to drive blockers back to collapse the pocket. He’s a high upside prospect that will continue to pull in D1 offers.
