Jaxon is already finding ways to make things happen coming off the edge, and one play that stands out is his ability to get to the ball carrier and force a fumble. That’s the kind of effort you want to see from a defender, especially someone just getting started at the high school level. He understands that getting to the quarterback or making a tackle isn’t always enough; sometimes it’s about attacking the football and creating an opportunity for his defense.
Jason has been putting in the work this summer, staying active and continuing to develop his game heading into the season. His dedication during the offseason shows his commitment to improving and becoming a bigger piece of the Dragons’ offense.
Jason put together a showing at camp and really started separating himself as the day went on. He look comfortable competing with older defenders. There moments where his ability to create separation stood out especially getting out his breaks. Jason also trains with David Robinson.
I saw Jason at the Under Armour Next Camp, and he stood out in the tight end group for his overall presence and steady improvement throughout the session. He has the kind of frame that projects well for the position, and he’s starting to show more comfort as a pass-catching option.
In route work, Jason showed flashes of understanding how to use his body to shield defenders and create a clean catch window. He’s not just running routes—he’s learning how to manipulate space, especially on short and intermediate concepts. His hands were consistent in drills, and he did a solid job finishing catches through contact.
