Hudson has been putting his team on his back all year, taking on the responsibility of making plays when his offense needs him the most. He’s the type of quarterback who isn’t going to shy away from a big moment, and I like the way he competes regardless of the situation. Whether it’s moving the chains, extending a drive, or trying to make something happen when the play breaks down, Hudson continues to battle and give his team a chance. There’s a certain toughness to his game that stands out, especially when things aren’t going his way. He understands that a lot falls on his shoulders at quarterback, and he’s willing to take on that challenge. Hudson deserves credit for the way he’s been carrying the offense this season, and his ability

Tomcheck put together one of the biggest performances of the week, throwing for 318 yards while completing 20-of-27 passes with two passing touchdowns and adding two more scores on the ground. But the numbers only tell part of the story. After Hudson fell behind 27-0 against Jenks (OK), Tomcheck helped lead the comeback and rally his team all the way to victory. A performance like that deserves serious consideration for PRZ Highlight of the Week.

Tomcheck steps in as the newest signal caller for the Dragons and he will lead Southlake against one of the top programs in Oklahoma in Jenks in week one. Hudson has the arm talent to make big throws over the top to stretch the defense and his accuracy in the short zones allows him to find holes in defenses often. Turn on the tape and Tomcheck shows off his running ability, running the read option like a veteran, which gives the Dragons an additional weapon in the run game. Look for him to set the tone in week one for the Dragons as the take on a power program in Jenks. Tomcheck will be a prospect to track this season in DFW.

Hudson will take command of the Dragons’ offense this season as the field general, bringing a dynamic dual-threat skill set that keeps defenses on edge. He’s comfortable operating from the pocket, delivering accurate throws with confidence, but he’s just as dangerous when a play breaks down. His mobility allows him to extend drives, escape pressure, and pick up yards with his legs when defenses least expect it. Hudson does a great job making quick decisions, keeping his eyes downfield while on the move, and creating opportunities for those around him.

Hudson is a flat out ball spinner who brings real arm talent and confidence to the quarterback position. With offers from Houston, Baylor, SMU, TCU, and UTSA, college programs clearly see his ability to create explosive plays and stress defenses through the air.

On film, Hudson shows he can drive the football with velocity and attack all levels of the field. He’s comfortable pushing the ball vertically and isn’t shy about fitting throws into tight windows when the matchup is there. When he gets in rhythm, he can heat up quickly and put pressure on secondaries with his ability to generate chunk plays.

What stands out most is how naturally he spins it the ball comes out clean and with zip, and he plays with a confident, aggressive mindset. He trusts his arm and is willing to challenge defenders, which makes him a constant big play threat.

Looking ahead, Hudson will have a full-time position in 2026 and is ready to take over for the Dragons. With his arm talent and playmaking ability, he’s in position to step into a leadership role and become a central piece of the offense moving forward.

Hudson showed poise and steady command at the quarterback position. In individual throwing periods, he delivered the ball with consistent mechanics and good rhythm, focusing on accuracy and timing on different route concepts.

He demonstrated the ability to process coverage quickly and make smart decisions with the football. His ball placement allowed receivers to catch and turn upfield efficiently. When plays broke down, he remained composed and looked to reset his feet to find the next option.
