Team Review - Southlake Carroll Dragons

Southlake Carroll enters the 2026 season with unfinished business after an outstanding 14-1 campaign that ended one step short of the state championship game with a hard fought semifinal loss to DeSoto. The Dragons once again proved why they're one of Texas' premier programs, playing with discipline, explosiveness, and confidence on both sides of the ball throughout the season. Year after year, Southlake Carroll sets the standard for excellence, and expectations remain sky-high. With a championship mindset firmly in place, the Dragons return determined to turn last season's heartbreak into motivation as they chase another deep playoff run and their ultimate goal of bringing a state title back to Southlake. Running with patience, vision, and decisive burst, he's capable of turning routine carries into explosive gains while wearing down defenses as the game progresses. As Southlake Carroll looks to make another championship run, expect Biggers to be a major piece of the offense and emerge as one of the premier backs in Texas. Biggers holds an offer from Colorado .

Blake, a California commit, is the type of receiver every offense wants on the field. He attacks the football with confidence, creates separation at every level of the route tree, and has the body control to finish difficult catches in traffic. His ability to accelerate out of his breaks.

Standing at 6-foot-5, Brody gives Southlake Carroll a matchup nightmare every time he steps onto the field. The Illinois commit combines rare size with legitimate speed, allowing him to stretch the field while also winning contested catches against smaller defensive backs. He tracks the football exceptionally well in the air, attacks it at its highest point, and consistently comes down with throws that most receivers can't make. His long stride lets him separate downfield, making him a dangerous vertical threat.

Caden is another playmaker I'm excited to watch this season. He flashes impressive burst once the ball is in his hands, quickly turning short catches into explosive gains with his ability to accelerate through open space. His speed after the catch makes him a constant big play threat. Gavin will look to make his mark in a talented Southlake Carroll receiver room this season. He has the tools to become a reliable target, showing the ability to create separation and make plays when the ball comes his way. Hudson will take command of the Dragons' offense this season as the field general, bringing a dynamic dual-threat skill set that keeps defenses on edge. He's comfortable operating from the pocket, delivering accurate throws with confidence, but he's just as dangerous when a play breaks down. His mobility allows him to extend drives, escape pressure, and pick up yards with his legs when defenses least expect it. Hudson does a great job making quick decisions, keeping his eyes downfield while on the move, and creating opportunities for those around him. Will will be a key piece of the Dragons' offensive line, providing the consistency and toughness needed to keep the offense rolling. He plays with strong fundamentals, uses his hands well at the point of attack, and does an excellent job staying engaged through the whistle. Whether it's opening running lanes or giving his quarterback time to operate. Tristan, a Missouri commit, is a difference-maker who brings a high level of skill and consistency to the Dragons. He shows great awareness, plays with excellent technique, and has the ability to control his matchups with his strength and quickness. Tristan does a great job finishing plays, staying composed in tough situations, and creating advantages for the offense.

Clayton continues to show steady improvement and is becoming a bigger piece for the Dragons.
