James Webb Jr is an outstanding athlete who does many things well on the football field. 1st, you do not see many athletes move like Webb does. He has great size ( 6’2″ inches tall) and moves extremely well. On offense, he played as a wide receiver, where he was a difference-maker.  He can score anytime he touches the ball. His ability to catch the ball and make defenders miss in space is impressive. He also shows a good ability to high-point the ball and catch it over defenders. Then, as a defensive back, he is a ballhawk who does a good job of getting his hands on the ball and knocking them away or intercepting passes. Webb recently visited Monmouth. I expect he will get more visits and offers to come his way.

Webb went off in in Philly Finest Black’s last game of the morning, snagging three touchdowns and a game winner as time expired. He was open all day and was a dangerous weapon in the redzone.

James Webb was clicking well when Boa Cobbold was at the helm, this before his shoulder injury. Cobbold tore through the Future secondary on Week Zero, with Webb being the main recipient through the air. It’s likely that Webb leads the way in terms of team receiving yards had Cobbold not miss time. Webb caught four opening-day passes for 90 yards and a score. Webb has still put in work at DB despite the back-to-back catchless outings. This is a prospect with an FCS ceiling, this being my opinion.

Stationed at corner for the majority of the game, shut down many passing lane opportunities for opposing quarterback Sean Long Sean Long 5'10" | 170 lbs | QB Father Judge | 2026 PA . Father Judge would proceed to throw away from Webb and move the ball well. Webb’s FJ tape isn’t going to drop the jaws of potential suitors, yet I think the young man is still being a bit under-recruited. I’ve seen Webb work in camp settings, 7v7 events, in pads, the kid looks the part on tape and in terms of build. A verified 6’2, ideal Division One corner frame.
