Expert Analysis
Robert Davis | Prep Redzone Scout
Bivins has been a difference maker in the trenches, consistently controlling the line of scrimmage. His numbers speak volumes, 27 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss and 6 sacks. Bivins has a great combination of explosiveness and strength, allowing him to beat blockers off the snap and disrupt plays early. He’s also creates turnovers, forcing a fumble and recovering another for a touchdown, adding to his growing highlight reel. Bivins’ ability to both rush the passer and stuff the run makes him a valuable two-way threat on defense. His high motor and football IQ allow him to diagnose plays quickly, giving him an advantage against any opponent. Bivins continues to prove he’s one of 3A’s premier trench defenders.

Bivins was a phenomenal run stopper for Eagle Valley this past season. The 6’3 210-pound junior had 47 total tackles (21 solo, 26 assisted), 7 TFL, 1 sack, 1 INT, 1 FF, and 1 pass deflection. Bivins has good athletic ability due to his good speed and acceleration. Good initial quickness out of his stance. Gets underneath the offensive lineman’s pads and uses his good hand strength to move them out of the way. Good hand placement. Bivins switches between a good bull rush and a solid spin move. Keeps the offensive line guessing on what will come next. Bivins is a great run stopper and a good tackler. He has good tackling form and uses his good strength to pull them down with ease. I’m interested to see how he does next season as Bivins will be a name to watch out for in the future.

Bivins is a defensive end who has a knack for making plays behind the line of scrimmage. He finished last season with 47 total tackles, including 7 tackles for loss, showcasing his ability to penetrate the backfield and shut down plays before they develop. Bivins uses his quick hands and strong technique to disengage from blockers, allowing him to set the edge effectively and contain the run. His awareness in pass defense also makes him a unique threat, as he recorded an interception last season. As he continues to develop, Bivins will be looking to make an even bigger impact this upcoming season.
