Expert Analysis

Harris has a lot of playing time and tape under his belt. He is an undersized corner/safety who could end up playing in the slot at the next level. Harris has some of the quickest feet I have seen in a camp setting. He has elite twitch and change of direction.
In coverage, both on tape and in what I have seen at camps, Harris shows excellent footwork, has a quick fluid transition from his backpedal, and consistently puts himself in a position to play the ball.
The coverage skills are there, and he probably is the best 1v1 man cover guy NY has in this class. He is undersized, but with the positional skills he showcased on tape, I think he can overcome the size concerns that coaches will have.

Harris is a smaller prospect but has time to get bigger and stronger. The Erasmus Hall CB has probably the quickest feet I have ever seen at a workout or camp and he is excellent in man coverage. His footwork is consistent, and he shows the ability to mirror WRs really well without being handsy. He has solid tape against the run also, as he plays in a run-heavy league. A smaller prospect but really twitched up and willing to play physical.

The youngster from Erasmus Hall was the talk of the camp. Harris is one of the best technical corners I’ve seen in the 2026 class in New York. His footwork was incredibly smooth as he was going step for step with some of the top upperclassman receivers in the state. His IQ is well above his years as he was consistently reading routes and making plays against explosive receivers

has some speed that not many other athletes in New York posses. A DB/ATH Harris could be is a part of the next generation of athletic Erasmus Hall defensive backs after

all graduated and are playing at the next level. Harris does not have varsity tape but is clearly going to be a top prospect in the class of 2026 hence his inclusion in the rankings. Harris would start at most other schools in New York but at Erasmus Hall the defensive back development is so consistent that every year they are churning our DI-DIII prospects. Harris is one of the next names to be manning that defensive backfield.

A youngster with really solid instincts Harris still is looking to find a role on an Erasmus Hall varsity team that is filled with talent at WR/DB. With a large graduating class at both positions I think Harris gets some time here and I think his acceleration and quickness could ultimately lead him to being a quality DB for Erasmus Hall. There is not enough film to have a complete evaluation for Harris but and invite to the Downstate Classic will be key for the Freshman who I think will have a lot of eyes on him come this fall.
