Having an offensive tackle who can protect the quarterback’s blindside without worry is a major relief for quarterbacks and coaches. Standing at 6’6″ 390lbs, Banton has plenty of size, but what impresses most is his ability to move laterally and protect the edge. Quick athletic edge rushers are not a problem for Banton. His previous basketball skills help him navigate his footwork for success and protection of the backfield. When he strikes, his hands are heavy and violent, often knocking defenders off their path. Banton’s size and ability have landed him on college radars, making him an athlete to watch in 2026.
